Michael Cormier B.Sc. (Hon), M.SC, DDS
Born in Cheticamp, Nova Scotia. Michael grew up in Margaree Forks, NS. Graduating from High School in 1973 and attending Dalhousie University during the next 10 years. Michael acquired his BSc(Hon), MSc and DDS degree in 1983. Michael has practised dentistry since graduation to the present time.
Besides his day job, Michael was constantly creating works of art in many mediums, painting, sculpture, folkart and glass. Over the years Michael has been chosen to be in VANS I and VANS II (Juried) shows. He has had a solo show "Changing Times" 1996 at the Trois Pigion, Cheticamp, NS with 80 pieces on exhibit. Michael has been involved in 4 Nova Scotia trade missions promoting Acadian culture to Louisianna between 1996 and 2001. During these trips Michael exhibited his art in various locations in Louisianna.
Most recently, Michael has been exhibiting his works at a Senior Exhibition in Halifax, NS which is sponsored by the province of Nova Scotia. He is a member of the Dartmouth Visual Arts Society and VANS. In May he will have three paintings in Pierscape, May 10-16, 2010.
